How Legion Health began
Yash Patel saw the gap firsthand. Patients in Austin and across Texas were waiting 8, 10, sometimes 16 weeks to see a psychiatrist — for conditions like depression and ADHD where timely medication support can make a meaningful difference in daily functioning.
In 2022, he founded Legion Health to connect patients with board-certified psychiatrists without the months-long wait. The idea was simple: telehealth has transformed primary care access — why not psychiatry?
Today, Legion Health serves patients across 15+ states, pairing them with psychiatrists who specialize in their specific conditions and delivering care in the environment patients are most comfortable in: home.
